I am getting a lot of pimples on the t-zone and forehead. They are also leaving scars. What can I do?

Pimples on T zone and forehead are a common concern in teenage and early adulthood, especially in people with oily skin. Occasionally they occur in adulthood due to wrong skincare practices or hormonal issues. The first step to take is to create a good skincare regimen with non-comedogenic products which would remove the oil without damaging the skin. Avoid scratching or picking the pimples as these can lead to marks and scars. Visit a dermatologist for management of the marks and scars. He/she might prescribe you actives like adapalene or benzoyl peroxide for the active acne. Isotretinoin is an oral medicine for scarring acne. Once the active acne is reduced, the marks and scars can be treated with procedures like chemical peels, Q-switched laser, microneedling with or without radiofrequency and fractional lasers. They require multiple sessions with proper pre and post care guidelines to give you good and sustained results.
