What is the difference between FUE and FUT hair transplant techniques?

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) are the two main hair transplant methods. While in FUE, individual follicles are extracted and implanted, FUT involves removing a strip of scalp and extracting follicles. In FUE, there is no visible linear scar, whereas FUT leaves a linear scar, usually hidden under hair. FUE has a faster recovery and is ideal for small-to-moderate hair loss. FUT has a higher graft survival rate and is suitable for large areas of baldness. While both techniques are effective, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist who will suggest a suitable method depending on your hair loss severity and preference.
