I have many, very small skin tags on my neck and chest. What is the best treatment for it?

Skin tags are benign outgrowths of skin located in areas of friction like neck and underarms, usually developing in adult life. A few small tags may be considered a normal finding and may not need treatment unless medically indicated. When skin tags increase in number or size, they often pose a significant cosmetic problem. For such cases, physical removal of tag by radiofrequency or electrocautery is the preferred treatment as tags don’t respond to oral or topical medications. The procedure involves nicking the tag with a small heated probe at its base (under local anesthesia) and allowing the area to heal naturally in next few days. The procedure is pain free as well as risk free though occasionally post procedure pigmentation can be seen which may need further treatment. Abnormal increase in number or size of warts may need medical investigations to find possible underlying chronic diseases like diabetes.
