My face is full of open pores. They are very visible and make me look bad. Are there any treatments to get rid of them fully?

Pores are normal openings of oil glands on the face, usually microscopic in size. When there is excess oil production or presence of pathologies like acne, these openings dilate to release extra sebum (oil) on the skin surface. Treating “open pores”, thus, involve treatment targeting reduction of sebum secretion and inflammation. Your doctor may prescribe you topical products like salicylic acid and retinoids to treat oiliness and open pores. In severe cases, chemical peels and laser toning procedures can also help. However, pores cannot be eliminated permanently. Maintenance treatments may be necessary for sustaining the results.
